The tour leads northwest into the Shekhawati region to Mandawa, famed for its open-air gallery of painted merchant havelis and century-old frescoes, before advancing across the Thar Desert to the unconquered fort of Bikaner.
Heading south into the Sun City of Jodhpur, explore the clifftop ramparts of Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, and Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum. Winding through the scenic Aravalli Hills, visit the 1,444 sculpted marble pillars of Ranakpur Jain Temple before arriving in Udaipur, the City of Lakes. In Udaipur, enjoy a tranquil sunset boat cruise on Lake Pichola and tour the lakeside City Palace, Jagdish Temple, and Sahelion Ki Bari. Continuing northeast, explore Jaipur’s hilltop Amber Fort, City Palace complex, Jantar Mantar Observatory, and local craft bazaars.
