Overview
Land of Maharajas
Embark on a grand two-week royal odyssey across Rajasthan, tracing the epic history, desert outposts, and opulent courts of the Maharajas. Starting in Delhi, the tour introduces key capital landmarks before heading into the Shekhawati region at Nawalgarh, celebrated as an open-air art gallery of centuries-old frescoed merchant havelis. The journey ventures deeper into the Thar Desert to Bikaner to explore the formidable Junagarh Fort and camel research centre, followed by the golden citadel of Jaisalmer. Here, wander the living ramparts of Jaisal Fort, admire the filigreed stone facades of Patwon Ki Haveli, visit historic Gadisar Lake, and ride camels across the rolling Sam Sand Dunes at sunset.
Continuing south, explore the blue-hued alleys and clifftop ramparts of Jodhpur’s Mehrangarh Fort and Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum, followed by an authentic rural retreat in Luni with a Jeep safari through indigenous Bishnoi villages. Arriving in the Pink City of Jaipur, experience an evening Aarti at Birla Mandir, a night Jeep tour, Amber Fort, and the royal City Palace. The circuit winds through the sacred lakeside ghats of Pushkar, the marble pillars of Ranakpur Jain Temple, and the perimeter walls of Kumbhalgarh Fort, culminating in Udaipur with an evening boat cruise on Lake Pichola and visits to the City Palace.
